These wings survived a crowded, hectic and long (yet fun!) party on the back of a seven-year old. Not a feather was severed - very realistic looking. My 7 y.o. is skinny so we lapped the shoulder straps over his head and the wings were positioned perfectly - a larger child would likely not need any adjustments.
