I bought this product along with my Ruby the Pirate outfit to wear at my office Halloween party. Our office was decorated like a pirate ship and our theme was Pirates of the Caribean. We won first prize.
I ordered these for my son and husband to wear in the attempt to break the Guinness World Record for most costumed pirates. You slide these on (there are elastic straps that go under your feet) then you slide on black shoes. They looked so real many people commented on their "boots" and were surprised they weren't.
these were great for Carnival. My husband had to make a cut (small) up the back in order for them to fit over his cowboy boots but it was not even noticable. He made a terrific pirate.
