The costume is great and my son LOVES it, but I am so happy that they were out of stock in Mediums, and that left us having to get a Large in it because it did run small. My son wears a size 7 or 8 small. And is built thin, so I figured we would just bundle up under the costume to fill it out and it would be no problem, but it fit him perfectly. So my suggestion would to go up a size.
