Zombies

When you're dressed as a pirate and you see a dozen other pirates at the party, you feel a little less clever and original than you did when you put that costume on. When you dress as a zombie, however, its OK because you can never have enough zombies in one room, unless of course you are trying to break the current world record of 4093! Zombies are always better in groups and when you apply your own makeup, no two ever look the same. So if you're looking for a good costume that guarantees that lookalikes won't be a problem, boy's zombie costumes are the way to go.

Your kid will probably want a certain level of gore and grisliness in the costume. Some boys are fine with simple boy's Zombie Halloween costumes featuring a pale face, some sunken eyes and some raggedy clothes. Others will want to find the grisliest, nastiest thing the costume shop has to offer and then proceed to scare the living daylights out of their sister with it. We have boy's zombie costumes that will acheive both.

Obviously, there's a line where you have to consider what's age appropriate, but that's for each parent to decide. Do you want a little blood on the corner of the mouth, or would you be fine if your kid wears the shirt with the plastic entrails dripping from the abdomen? These decisions are best left to the individual parent.

Another consideration is whether or not you believe in the whole "fast zombie" thing. If so, then a zombie costume for boys that allows easy movement, something lightweight, is probably best. Otherwise, a little extra padding might help to provide a more realistic lumbering motion, giving other trick or treaters time to fully take in the grisly sight of the costume.

In any event, zombies are big, and they're here to stay. Your kids won't be the only ones dressed like the walking dead this Halloween, and that's half of the fun.
