First off, the design and material are both great. I would have no problem wearing this out and about on St Patty's Day (or just any old Tuesday, if I felt so inclined) if it had fit. I AM a bigger guy, but this kilt still barely fit. It says it fits up to XL (which is what I wear in boxers, shorts, pajama pants, etc.) but I'd say that's debatable. It basically wraps around your waist like a towel with velcro along the front of the waistline. This will give an exact fit for you skinnier guys, but if you're a little thicker in the waist, that also means that the two ends of the kilt won't overlap much while you're wearing it. So basically, the bigger your waist, the more likely this kilt is to separate and show off what may or may not be under the kilt. It would be better if the velcro attached on the hip instead of right in front, or if they only recommended it fits up to a large.
