300 is an exciting movie about the historic Battle of Thermopylae. It tells the store of Leonidas, the King of Sparta. Unwilling to surrender Sparta to the Persians, Leonidas assembles a small but determined army of 300 warriors to fight the powerful Xerxes. While he marches to battle, Queen Gorgo tries unsuccessfully to get the council to send additional troops to Thermopylae. King Leonidas and his 300 Spartan warriors had no chance against the overwhelming Persian army but never backed down. When Greece got word of their noble fight, it inspired them fight against the Persian army.
