South Park costumes make the best Halloween costumes for guys who spent the last 14 years following the daily lives of Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny, four 4th graders from the fictional town of South Park, Colorado. They are the creation of best friends Trey Parker and Matt Stone. When the show first aired in 1997, it was considered irreverent with strong language and sexual references. The cartoon earned TVs first TV-MA rating, for mature audiences only. As the show went on, shock value satire became the common theme and toilet humor reigns supreme, after all, they are fourth graders. Through all the sick humor, running jokes and slapstick style, the creators stand by their notion that the show has a moral center with plots as parables based on politics, religion of other controversial topics. Often at the end of an episode, the boys ponder of the lessons learned.
