Speed Racer is the American adaptation of the Japanese amine, Mach Go Go Go. It was a popular cartoon many years ago and was made into a movie in 2008.
Speed Racer is the son of a race car engine designer. He drives the Mach 5 race car, the Mach 6 in the movie version, and always seems to wind up in some sort of peril. Speed Racer's costume features a white and blue jumpsuit with a belt and a helmet.
Trixie is Speed Racer's girlfriend. He is usually with Speed when he encounters trouble. Trixie also assists Speed Racer during races, acting as his spotter. The Trixie Speed Racer costume features a black romper with pink and black checkerboard trim and matching glovettes.
Racer X is Speed Racer's older brother in disguise. When Rex was younger he raced against his father's will because Pops Racer felt he wasn't ready. He wrecked this race car in the last lap of the race and after Rex was berated by his father, he exiled himself from the family, changed his identity and went on to become the world's greatest race car driver.
