My daughter loves this costume! It fit her perfectly, so I would say that this costume runs small because she can still fit in a size 7/8. However, we did need to make a few adjustments. The collar did not stand up, so I stitched it up in front to force it up. Also, the elastic on the crown broke, so we had to fiddle with that too to make it work. And, the tulle material is always so itchy! But, it's only for one night, and the costume is so cute that my daughter doesn't really care about the few minor flaws. She was looking for a costume that wasn't quite so "baby-ish" and I wanted her to wear a costume that would offer enough coverage. This costume met both our needs!
