Raggedy Ann Costumes are based on the popular rag doll in the blue dress with the red yarn pigtails. Raggedy Ann was invented in the early 1900's by a dad who took his daughter's old rag doll and drew an eyes, nose and mouth on the faded face. He was inspired by two books, The Raggedy Man and Little Orphan Annie, to come up with the name Raggedy Ann. He then went on to write a series of children's books about a ragdoll that comes to life when no one is present. The doll was made to market along with the books. To this day, Raggedy Ann still looks the same and she is still love by girls everywhere.
