This costume got the job done for the Renaissance festival that I went to 2 weeks ago. A bit long, but that's okay it was still very pretty.
My sister had a Renaissance themed wedding. I wore this costume as a bridesmaid. I ordered the Large and it was actually too long! (I am 5'9", so that was perfect for me) There was no hem, it was only serged at the bottom, but the characteristic of the fabric is to turn under anyway, so it was not noticeable. The only caveat I have is that one of the sleeves was not attached properly. The right draped sleeve was attached at the middle of the outside arm as pictured, but the left was rotated 2.5 inches to the back. It wasn't noticeable for others admiring the dress, but I could tell a difference in the movement of the sleeve. All in all though, it is a gorgeous dress and I hope to have an opportunity to wear it again.
I used it for a Medieval Party i went to and it was great. Got lots of compliments on it too. It was a little too long but it was easy to get it fixed. i don't reccommend it if you are a very sweaty person and you're going to a crowded place with it becuase ut does get a little hot.
