Don’t Miss: WDW’s Final Star Wars Weekend

Don’t Miss: WDW’s Final Star Wars Weekend

This is the final weekend to explore a galaxy far, far away…at the Walt Disney World resort in Florida, that is. The force will be strong at Hollywood Studios during its popular Star Wars Weekends event, where you’ll encounter special Star Wars-themed shows, merchandise, dining, character interactions, and much more. Here are some highlights you don’t want to miss:

The Meet-and-Greets. If you’ve already collected a dozen photos of yourself cheesing it up with Mickey and the gang, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to pose with your favorite Star Wars icons, who will be scattered throughout Hollywood Studios. You may be greeted by Stormtroopers or have a run-in with the Boba Fett Patrol.

The Shows. From the Legends of the Force: Star Wars Celebrity Motorcade to a special recap of Disney XD’s animated series Star Wars Rebels at the ABC Sound Studio Theater, there will be no shortage of galactic entertainment this weekend. Experience an epic conclusion to your day with Symphony in the Stars featuring your favorite Star Wars characters in an interstellar fireworks show.

The Celebs. As if snagging a photo with Darth Vader wasn’t enough, you’ll also meet actual Star Wars celebrities and characters during shows and presentations or special autograph sessions. This year, James Arnold Taylor—the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars—will be your guide, but you could also come face-to-face with stars such as Frank Oz (Yoda); Ray Park (Darth Maul); Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca); and many more.

The Games. Got your young Padawans with you? Be sure to check out all of the kid-friendly games and  entertainment throughout the weekend, like the Padawan Mind Challenge, a series of fun and interactive trivia challenges for kids ages 4 to 11. You could also have the chance to watch your young Jedi Knight prepare to meet the Dark Side and battle Darth Vader himself in the Jedi Training Academy.

The Merch. If there’s one thing both Disney and Star Wars aficionados appreciate, it’s merchandise showcasing their favorite character or film. This weekend, get your hands on exclusive Star Wars Weekends merchandise, from t-shirts to costumes to that lightsaber you’ve always wanted.

The Dining. May the forks be with you during a rare opportunity to enjoy your meal alongside Disney pals decked out in their intergalactic costumes at Hollywood and Vine, or you could be visited by a cast of Star Wars heroes and villains during breakfast at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater.
