Friday Fight comes a day early this week because of July 4th, and Costume Discounters couldn’t think of better way to celebrate America’s independence than with two characters from film who personify a fighting spirit – Indiana Jones and Han Solo.
While both of these household names have been portrayed by actor Harrison Ford, and created by director George Lucas, only one can win.
First, we have Dr. Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones. Jones is best-known for his roles in four films where fans have seen him overcome the Nazis (twice), a Chinese crime boss, the Thugee High Priest, a group of Soviets, a flock of giant ants (unfortunately), and (perhaps most impressively) a terrible performance by Shia LeBeouf. He’s saved the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail and a countless amount of people in the process. It’s easy to see why someone would pick Indy to take this one.
The other half of this fight is Han Solo. Since the release of the original Star Wars, fans have seen Solo become both the Captain of the Rebel Alliance and somewhat of a cult hero. Lucas once described Solo as “a loner who realizes the importance of being part of a group and helping for the common good,” and with his Wookiee co-pilot Chewbacca in his corner, there’s no telling if Solo would shoot first, or if he would even need to.
Alright, everyone… Who wins this week’s Friday Fight – Indiana Jones or Han Solo?
